Maintenance Personnel:
Job Description and Duties

I. GROUNDS

  • Grass to be mowed weekly during the run of a play or Playmaker function, otherwise twice monthly, during growth season.
  • Edge around building and walks on the theater grounds.
    Note - Not responsible for edging around materials left by the stage crew in the back of the building.
  • Remove litter and fallen branches. Arrange to have large limbs removed professionally.
  • See that the dumpster is emptied in a timely manner.
  • Make fence repairs.
  • Maintain light bulbs around the exterior of the building.

II. BUILDING

  • Keep the paper products supplied, including toilet paper, paper towels and water cups in the Lobby and Green Room, and a supply of garbage bags for the lobby and house cans.
  • Change light bulbs as needed and keep supply on hand.
    Note - This does not include theatrical light.
  • Clean air conditioner filters for all three units as needed.
  • Arrange for Fire Extinguishers Annual Inspection.
  • Arrange for Sprinkler Annual Inspection.
  • Maintain restroom fixtures unless repairs require a plumber.
  • Call pest control as needed and make all arrangements for service.
  • Maintain door locks and lock sets inside and out.
  • Contact roofers in case of a leak or other roof maintenance.
  • Contact a professional repair service for malfunctioning mechanical equipment.

The maintenance personnel is not a custodian. Each person has the responsibility to clean their own mess up, including carrying out their trash and garbage.

The light booth is to be maintained entirely by technical personnel.

Security of the building is the responsibility of the person using the facility.

Bar supplies and its security is the responsibility of the Hospitality committee.

Maintenance is taken care of on a regular basis. Emergency maintenance will be handled within a 24- hour period of a problem being reported. Maintenance personnel will communicate with the president and keep him/her informed of their need, along with making a monthly report for the Board.
